DJ Cliff Pfeifer announced as the winner of the Glamscum International Radio Deep Segment Dj Challenge

Dj Cliff Pfeifer

The winning mix in the Glamscum International Radio Deep Segment DJ Challenge has been put together by Denver Colorado's own Cliff Pfeifer. The contest consisted of building a mix using only tracks featured in Glamscum Radio's deep segment in 2010 while adhering to fundamental mix techniques and a broadcast time restraint. None of this was problem for Pfeifer, as in addition to being an accomplished veteran dj, he has worked in various areas of the music production industry for the past 10 years.

"From a production standpoint, the contest offered the chance to showcase my skills in a radio set format. I knew that following the format to the letter was the only chance I had of getting to the top. Since all of the technical details were already laid out, it allowed me to focus more on the music and mix, which is by far the most important aspect to me. And since The Scumfrog hand picked the tracks, I knew the music would be great. The hardest part was narrowing down the track list to build my set the way I envisioned it."

As the winner of the contest, Cliff's mix will be heard as an edition of Glamscum International Radio on February 10, 2011 (podcast available on February 17th, 2011). The podcast has about 20,000 subscribers and is also downloaded by many others directly from Glamscum Radio's website and is available for licensing worldwide.

The show is hosted and produced by internationally renowned DJ and producer, The Scumfrog. Aside from his podcast, The Scumfrog’s impressive list of credits include original tracks and remixes for some of the world's top pop stars, earning Billboard and Grammy nods on both sides of the globe. The show boasts "Beats without Borders" and features the latest in dance music from around the world.

"To be recognized by an icon in the dance music industry is an overwhelming honor for me. In my eyes, The Scumfrog is not only an icon, but a hero. I've been spinning his tracks for years and I've been a huge fan of the show since I first discovered it earlier this year. It's by far my favorite podcast. Along with the entertaining banter, the music selection is always top notch and a source of inspiration when I'm shopping for new music to add to my collection."

In addition to listening to his studio mixes, you can see Cliff Pfeifer spin live at selected events in the Colorado area. Cliff also produces his own monthly internet mix show called "Groovitech Mix" which is available on his website. Cliff is now working on original productions and booking locally and nationally for the spring and summer of 2011.

A new year brings new hopes and motivations to everyone. For me, I spent a good portion of late 2010 getting ready to get out there and get some things happening. Business, Music, Personal and Social, making all of these things come together and get better is my new years resolution. I've got some fun things planned for this site and a lot of new projects, music and events in the works.

On the business side, the launch of my newest website and web design company, NetSense Media, was a long time coming. I finally feel comfortable with my on "web design" website, I've always figured if you're doing web design, having an awesome website is mandatory, and I'm happy with this one. I have plans to significantly expand this site to include tutorials and generally useful information regarding websites and internet technology. It seems to be a mystery to a lot of people and my goal with NetSense is to make sense of all of it and provide useful solutions for the average person. Stop by and take a look: NetSense Media

On the Music side, I've official dusted off the dj gear and I'm back at it. After all I've been through with crazy bands, crooked production companies and shady music biz BS, I'm thinking running things solo for awhile will work a lot better. Of course, it's always the music that brings me back and I'm really feeling the underground and mainstream club vibes. In turn, I've created yet another website dedicated to my dj / dance artist music and I'm in the production process for a monthly webcast that will feature the underground tracks I love so much. Not to mention some original music, remixes, edits, mash-ups and custom tweaks to put my own style on the music that's out there. Stop by and check out my dj page: dj.cliffpfeifer.com

Personally and Socially, you'll see me a lot more. With my dj gigs, I'm out there meeting people again and getting back into the scene. I think I've been locked up in my own personal "Matrix" for too long, I need to unplug. So feel free to hit me up, let me know what's going on, I'm happy to show my support for events of all kinds and any type of networking opportunities. That's what life is all about.

For now, stay tuned, I've got a lot in the works and I'll keep you posted.
